  1. What is Vietnam Visa on Arrival?

    To promote Vietnam Travel and Tourism and facilitate for foreigners who intend to visit Vietnam, Vietnam Government supports foreigners the quickest and cheapest way to get Vietnam Visa on Arrival. You just need to apply with vietnamevisa.org by filling in our "Online Application Form", get your "Visa approval letter" within 2 business days (or faster with Urgent Service) and pick up your official visa at Vietnam international destination airports.

    After your approval letter is issued and approved by Vietnam Immigration Department, it will be forwarded to your email or fax in copied form. Copies of the same document will be stored on your behalf to Vietnam Immigration checkpoints at International Airports only. When you arrive at Vietnam international airport Immigration counter, the Customs officers have those documents ready for checking, then your Immigration procedure will be promptly approved.

  2. What is Vietnam Visa Approval letter?

    "Visa approval letter" is an invitation letter issued by Vietnam Immigration Department .With the approval letter, you can pick up your visa upon arrival at one of the five international airports in Vietnam (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang).

    At the airports, the corresponding authority will verify your letter in details based on your passport and travel document information. Then, you will be surely granted entry upon arrival in Vietnam with the approval letter providing that you ensure all your inputted information correct when applying. However, it is strongly advised that you should read instructions our website carefully to avoid problems or delays at the airport.

    Note: The Visa approval letter is used for foreigners who want to enter Vietnam by airway. For the intention to enter Vietnam by Cruise or Landway, please directly go to the nearest Vietnam Embassy to be supported.

  3. What information do I need to apply for Vietnam Visa approval letter?

    To complete the online application for a Vietnam visa approval letter, you need to provide ú with exact flowing information:

    Full name (exactly as in your passport with order of Last name, Given name/Middle name and First name)

    • Date of birth (DOB)
    • Nationality
    • Passport Number
    • Proposed arrival date
    • Purpose of visit
  4. How do I receive my visa approval letter?

    A colored scanned copy of the approval letter will be sent to you by email, so please make sure that you have provided us with the correct email address.

    You can also request a copy by fax. In this case, please provide us with your fax number and email it to support@vietnamevisa.org

    Note: the approval letter is in PDF format, so please make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat reader in order to open the file.

  5. Do you require a scan of my passport scan?

    In most cases, a passport scan is not required for an online visa application. However, if Vietnam Department of Immigration requires your passport to verify the information you provide, you need to send us your scanned passport. In this case, we will notify you by email immediately.

  6. Can I enter Vietnam earlier than my applied arrival date, and exit later than applied exit date in my Visa approval letter?

    Be kindly advised that according to Vietnam Department of Immigration’s requirement, with a Vietnam Visa approval letter:

    • You are allowed to be entered Vietnam on/after applied arrival date.
    • You are allowed to be exited Vietnam on/before applied exit date.

    In the case, you intend to enter Vietnam before applied arrival date, or exit Vietnam after applied exit date, you need to apply for a new Visa approval letter to avoid some hassles at the Vietnam Airport.

  7. Can we use our Visa approval letter to enter Vietnam by Cruise or Landway?

    Vietnam visa on arrival is applicable to air travel only, so you must get visa stamped at the arrival airports in Vietnam. If this is the case, you are recommended to contact the most convenient Vietnam Embassy/Consulate to be supported.

  8. What is difference between single entry and multiple entries Visa?

    There is a big difference between a single entry visa and a multiple entries Vietnam Visa below:

    Single entry visa: You are permitted to enter Vietnam one time only during your visa validity. After you exit Vietnam, you visa will automatically become invalid. If you would like to re-enter you need to apply for multiple entries visa.

    Multiple entries visa: You can enter and exit Vietnam many times as you want during your visa validity.

  9. How long does it take to get the approval letter?

    For Tourist Visa, it normally takes 2 working days to process your Visa approval letter or faster based on the rush service you apply with us.

    For Business Visa, it is 4 working days to process or faster based on the rush service you apply with us.

    Note: If you submit your application and pay the fee before 12.00 PM Vietnam time on a Working day (Monday-Thursday), we will send you the letter of approval by 18:00 PM on the following (next) working day.

    The above processing time does not apply for Friday afternoon (after 12.00 PM) + Saturday and Sunday. Please consider the time difference between Vietnam and your country. For current Vietnam time, please click here.

    The visa counter at Vietnam airport is 24/7 open so if you already have the approval letter, you can still pick up your visa at Vietnam airport on weekend.

  10. Is there any problem if I change the airport to pick up visa?

    Please do not worry about your concern. Your Immigration information will be stored in our system, so you can make your Immigration process in one of five international airports below:

    • Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi
    • Cam Ranh International Airport in Nha Trang
    • Danang International Airport in Danang
    • Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh

  1. What about total price for Vietnam Visa on arrival?

    There are two kinds of fee for visa on arrival to Vietnam below:

    Stamping fee: Stamping fee is the fee you pay directly to Customs Officers in cash (in USD or VND) (at Immigration Desk/Counter) at your arrival airport in Vietnam to have visa stamped onto your passport. The fee is collected by the Customs Officers and compulsory for all those who use visa on arrival method.

    USD 25 for one 1 month or 3 months single entry visa;

    USD 50 for one multiple entries visa valid for up to 3 months

    USD 95 for 6 months multiple entries visa (Business visa approval letter only)

    USD 135 for one year multiple entries visa (For US/American passport holders)

  2. Can I pay for stamping fee in my country currency?

    The stamping fee will be collected by Customs officers at the Vietnam Airport when you make your Immigration process. This fee will have to be in cash, no credit card is accepted.

    The accepted currency: VND or AUD, SGD, etc. but USD is highly recommended to avoid any unbalanced exchange rate at the airport.

    A valid visa is required for almost foreigners to enter Vietnam, except for those whose nationalities are included in the Vietnam visa exemption list approved by Vietnam Government.

  2. How many kinds of Vietnam Visa?

    Here, Vietnam visa is classified in two Immigration purposes below:

    Tourist Visa:

    • One month single entry Visa
    • One month multiple entries Visa
    • Three months single entry Visa
    • Three months multiple entries Visa
    • One year multiple entries Visa for US/American passport holders.

    Business Visa:

    • One month single entry Visa
    • One month multiple entries Visa
    • Three months single entry Visa
    • Three months multiple entries Visa
    • Six months multiple entries Visa
    • One year multiple entries Visa for US/American passport holders.
  3. What are the photo requirements for Vietnam Visa on Arrival?

    With Vietnam visa on arrival, the visa applicants must prepare two photos to get visa stamped at the arrival airport in Vietnam. Following is the list of regulations regarding photos for visa on arrival:

    The photograph must be passport-sized, identical, taken within the past 6 months.

    The image size from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head should be between 1 inch and 13/8 inches.

    The photograph may be in color or black and white. They must be full face, front view with a plain white or off-white background.

    The photograph should be taken in normal street attire, without a hat or headgear that obscures the hair or hairline.

    Uniforms should not be worn in the photograph with the exception of religious attire which is worn daily.

    If prescription glasses, a hearing device, wig or similar articles are normally and consistently worn, they should be worn when the picture is taken.

    Dark glasses or nonprescription glasses with tinted lenses are not acceptable unless required for medical reasons. A medical certificate may be required to support the wearing of such glasses in the photograph.

  4. What are requirements for my passport expiration?

    If your passport is expired, you cannot apply for your Vietnam visa. In this case, please renew your passport before applying for visa to Vietnam.

    So, before applying for a visa, you need to check your passport to make sure it is valid at least 6 months since your date of arrival in Vietnam.

  5. What credit/debit cards are accepted?

  6. My credit card number is correct, but it was not accepted. Why?
    • The card expiration date was entered incorrectly.
    • You have reached your credit limit
    • There was a computer error.
    • Your Visa Verified password / Master Secure Code were entered incorrectly.

SHARED VISA AND PRIVATE VISA APPROVAL LETTER:

  1. Is it ok when my visa approval letter includes many names of strangers?

    No, it is Share visa approval letter which often is issued at high season. All of these people applied Vietnam Visa at the same time with you, therefore Immigration Department sent these Visas with you at the same paper and the same time for saving time.

  2. What are differences between Share visa and private visa?

    There are many names of customers on only one document which is called share visa. It often is sent to foreigners when they apply for Vietnam visa in same time in high season. In contrast, private visa just only show your name (and your partners) and also this must be more expensive than share visa.

    For entry Vietnam, both of private and share visa are accepted. If you do not mind having the visa approval letter which not only shows your name but also the strangers’ information, you can choose share visa. If you would like to keep your personal information in secrete, you should choose private visa so that your visa approval just includes your information.
